Lake of glacial origin Bled is located in the Slovenian Alps at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. The name of the lake was given by the famous resort town of Bled, located in the northeast. From west to east, the lake stretches for 2.1 km, from north to south - for 1.4 km. In the western part of the lake there is a small island about 200 meters long, which can be reached by one of the traditional wooden boats. On the island there is the Mariinsky Church with a high bell tower; archeological excavations of burials of the early Middle Ages were carried out here.

The mountains trap cold air currents over the lake, which warms up well by the middle of summer and attracts many vacationers to its beaches. The lake has repeatedly hosted European and world championships in rowing. Bled Castle is located on a high cliff, from the observation deck of which a stunning view of the entire lake opens.

Incredible beauty place

Lake in the mountains, beautiful views. Large park around the lake. On the mountain fortress, which offers an incredible view of the lake, entrance 11 euros. You can swim in the lake.→
