The Stockholm Metro is a subway system in Greater Stockholm, the only one in Sweden. It was opened on October 1, 1950. The system includes 100 stations on three branching lines, the total length of which is 105.7 km. 47 underground stations, 53 ground or elevated stations.
The Stockholm metro is known for the unusual design of some stations (mostly central ones), it is called "the longest art gallery in the world."
