The Swedish Museum of Natural History is a museum of biology and geology located in Stockholm, in the Freskati district. The construction of the complex of buildings, which was completed in 1916, was led by the architect Axel Anderberg.
The museum has over 9 million preparations of animals, plants, fungi, fossils and minerals from all parts of the world. The collection is completed with environmental samples, a DNA database, bird ringing statistics and other scientific material. Along with exhibition spaces, the building houses a planetarium and an IMAX cinema.
