In Rostov-on-Don there is a wonderful place for walking and outdoor recreation - this is the city embankment, named after Fyodor Ushakov.
The Don River Embankment is always busy. Local residents and visitors of the city like to spend time here. Noisy folk festivals and festivities with dances and songs are also held here. In the park of Rostovskaya Embankment there are many funny sculptures (“Nakhalenok” with “Grandfather Shchukar”, “Rostovchanka”, “Don Father”, “Artist”, “Fisherman”, “Grigory and Aksinya in a Boat” and others), comfortable benches in shade trees, various cafes, a playground and an amusement park. Several times a day, motor ships and pleasure boats leave from here for a short walk along the Don. In 2014, the embankment was reconstructed - the park now has places for recharging mobile devices and a wi-fi zone.
