The Kuskovo estate is an architectural and artistic ensemble of the 18th century. It is located in the east of Moscow on the territory of the Veshnyaki district.
Includes a palace built under the direction of the architect C. I. Blanc, in the second half of the 18th century in the style of classicism; a regular park decorated with sculptures with pavilions: "The Grotto", "The Greenhouse" (designed by the fortress architect F. S. Argunov, the second half of the 18th century), "The Hermitage" (the second half of the 18th century), "Italian" (18th century). ) and "Dutch" (XVIII century) houses.
The estate consisted of three parts: a dam with a menagerie, a French regular park with the main architectural ensemble, and an English park "Guy". The architectural and park complex of the central front part has been preserved with the greatest completeness.
The center of the ensemble is the Palace, which has preserved the layout and decoration of the interiors, consisting of first-class works of Russian and Western European fine art; a unique collection of 18th-century paintings, dedicatory portraits of Russian emperors and several generations of the owners of the estate, the Sheremetevs.
