Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI) - one of the largest technical universities in Russia, was founded in 1930 on the basis of the electrical industry department of the Institute of National Economy. Since 1946, MPEI has been training specialists for foreign countries, here students and graduate students from 68 countries of the world receive knowledge. 14590 students study at 66 departments of the institute, to whom 1156 teachers transfer their knowledge. For significant progress in the training of engineering and scientific personnel, MPEI was awarded 2 state orders of Russia and 6 foreign orders.
MPEI has a solid educational and technical base, including a cryogenic center and one of the country's largest scientific and technical libraries.
