In Tatarstan, it is commonly believed that the Kul Sharif mosque is the largest in Europe, but in reality this is not so, although the building is impressive: the height is 57 meters, the capacity is one and a half thousand people. The mosque is located on the territory of the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, construction under the auspices of the President of Tatarstan Shaimiev lasted from 1996 to 2005, the opening was timed to coincide with the millennium of Kazan, a year later a museum was opened in the mosque.→
