In 1976, geologists were drilling the slope of Mount Bolshoi Uvan in the Chelyabinsk region in search of iron ore and stumbled upon groundwater. Iron was not found, the well was clogged, but the water pressure knocked out the plug. In the summer it is an ordinary spring, but every winter an ice fountain is formed from the water beating up under pressure, reaching the height of a five-story building in cold weather - the colder the winter, the higher the ice column! Pure underground water freezes with pale blue ice.→
