The Obvodny Canal is considered the largest canal in St. Petersburg. It starts from R. Neva and reaches the river. Yekateringofka is 8 km away. Since the navigable canal was being built, many industrial enterprises and factories were built along it. Nowadays, the Obvodny Canal is crossed by 23 bridges, most of which are automobile - this makes it an important transport artery of the city.
