The Moika River is one of the places where the city of St. Petersburg was built. At the beginning of the XVIII century. its banks were covered with wooden platforms, and in subsequent years granite embankments and many bridges, mansions and palaces were built there. In the second half of the XIX century. The embankment of the Moika River became one of the most prestigious places in the city, where members of the imperial family and court nobility lived. Nowadays, this amazingly beautiful embankment stretches for a distance of 4.6 km, and across the river. Moika, 15 wonderful bridges were thrown (1st Engineering, Blue, 1st Garden, etc.).
