The Lion Bridge is a 28-meter footbridge spanning the
Griboyedov Canal. At its ends there are 4 cast-iron statues of lions, which is the reason for the name of this bridge. The building was built in 1825 by engineers G. Tretter and V. Khristianovich. The spans of the Lion's Bridge are decorated with diamond-patterned forged lattice and lampposts, and some of their details are covered with gilding.
