When I was in Rome, the Vatican Cathedral of Peter and Paul (after the example of which Isaac was built) struck me not so much as the power of St. Isaac's Cathedral. Truly, it should have been made the main cathedral of Parvoslavia. + the observation deck is simply magnificent. The view opens up gorgeous.

When you walk from the side of Nevsky along the Moika embankment and the beautiful and great Isaac grows up in front of you - your heart stops! And no matter how many times you have walked this path, the feeling is always the same. And if you haven't seen St. Petersburg from the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral, then you haven't seen St. Petersburg at all!

Not the first time in St. Petersburg, and not the first time in Isakievsky. Significant building, excellent view from the lookout, interesting tour (by the way, take a tour). But the feeling that the cathedral was built for the glory of Man does not leave him - his ability to create, the ability to build and decorate, the ability to sacrifice himself for the sake of a great goal.
