The pedestrian Ioannovsky bridge is located on the site of the first St. Petersburg bridge. It connects Zayachy Island and the Petrograd side. For quite a long time the bridge was called Petrovsky, but after the construction of the Ioannovsky Gate in
Peter and Paul Fortress it began to be called Ioannovsky. After the reconstruction, carried out in the middle of the 20th century, the metal fence and lanterns, stylized as the beginning of the 19th century, were renewed on the bridge.
