Finland Station was built in the second half of the 19th century. for the Finnish Railway, which connected the Russian Empire and the Principality of Finland. It is famous for being the first place where V. Lenin arrived after emigration. In honor of this event, a monument and a steam locomotive were erected here, which brought Lenin to Russia in 1917. The modern station building with a 16-meter clock tower was built in the middle of the 20th century, and soon the Lenin Square metro station was opened there. Local trains and international trains depart from this station in the direction of Finland.
