Palace Bridge

palace bridge
russia, Saint Petersburg
Palace Bridge is one of the most famous drawbridges in St. Petersburg. It connects the central part of the city (Admiralteysky Island) and Vasilyevsky Island. The bridge consists of five spans, and the double-winged central span of the Palace Bridge is one of the symbols of St. Petersburg.

It seems that some kind of movie was being filmed on the Palace Bridge that day. The bridge was parted a little, and a group of people with a video camera crowded at the very edge. It is a pity that no one was allowed on the bridge, it would be great to look down through the hole. In general, I would not call St. Petersburg bridges something out of the ordinary. The Charles Bridge in Prague is much older, the Golden Gate in San Francisco is bigger and taller, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam is more futuristic, the Brooklyn Bridge.
