I do not like all sorts of "ruins of the chapel" there, much closer to me sights of a natural nature. But, when the weather did not allow going to the mountains, in order not to waste time, I had to join the cultural values. We went on an excursion to the Alanian settlement. Of the objects examined, the most interesting for us, as photographers, were two churches of Byzantine architecture, which were well preserved (or restored) from the outside. There is absolutely nothing inside. It is surprising, of course, that Christian churches have survived at all in the Muslim region. There is also an idol, holding on to which, men can get a surge of male strength (or maybe you need to climb it? ). The solar calendar, perhaps from a bird's eye view, is impressive, but from below it is just boulders overgrown with grass and covered with earth. Not photogenic. On the other side of the Zelenchuk River, on a rock, you can see the face of Christ.
How he got there - scientists disagree. In general, if there is nothing else to do, you can go.
