The Assumption Church is one of the oldest churches of Humor Monastery and was built in 1530. The painting of the walls and the interior was done by master Toma Suceavsky, who designed the Church of the Annunciation of the Moldovitsa Monastery. The frescoes of the Assumption Church illustrate the plots of biblical stories - "Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane", "Praise of the Virgin", "Descent from the Cross".

Lovers of history, architecture and travel.
Assumption Church of the Umor Monastery (Humor) 1530-1535, Romania. The current nunnery. Included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. A very interesting building. A special feature is the presence of external frescoes on the walls of the church. Highly recommend to visit.→
