Romania is very rich in various castles and palaces. Therefore, having been there, it is impossible not to visit at least some of them.
The castle, or as it is also called, the Peles Palace is located in a picturesque place on the way between Transylvania and Wallachia near the city of Sinai in the Romanian Carpathians.
Let me just say that I highly recommend visiting. And not only look outside, but also go inside. There is a lot to see for true travelers and lovers of castles.
Without going into details of the architectural style, about which there is a lot of information, and without copying historical references, I will only say that the castle is considered the first electrified castle in Europe.
Well, from the curious features: right in front of the castle there is a round pool. Visitors to the castle, according to the accepted tradition, throw money there with the dream of returning to these places again. But the peculiarity is that they throw Romanian lei there.
There are practically no small things in circulation, so visitors throw "paper" banknotes into the pool. “Paper” I wrote in quotation marks, because the Romanian lei is not paper, but plastic. In the water, they do not get wet at all and do not sink, and so they float on the water surface of the pool. Also an interesting detail.
I strongly recommend visiting!
