In the center of Porto, near Sã o Bento Station, you will find Liberty Square, surrounded by beautiful buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries. The only ancient building of the square is the Cardosas Palace (XVIII century), which now houses the respectable Intercontinental Porto Palacio Das Cardosas 5* hotel. The entire architectural ensemble of the square is surprisingly harmonious and symmetrical. In the center of the square there is an equestrian monument to King Pedro IV, and beautiful houses with towers and spiers in the Art Nouveau style rise along its edges.→
