Lello Bookshop can be called the most unusual and famous bookstore in Portugal. According to many guidebooks, it is one of the ten best bookstores in the world. It is also said that this is where J. K. Rowling was inspired when she wrote her Harry Potter books. The Lello store opened to the public in 1906. It was designed by the architect Javier Esteves in neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau styles. From the moment of its discovery and up to the present day, it has been owned by the Lello family. The architecture of the building with elements of Art Nouveau and the luxurious interior of the store are admirable.→
