The entrance to the fabulous and wonderful town of Obidos starts from the City Gate of Porta da Vila. This town is surrounded by fortress walls of the XII century. and is truly admired for its beautiful cobbled streets and white and blue houses, decorated with azulejo tiles, lanterns and flowering plants. From the outside, the Porta da Vila gate is a typical medieval building, but upon entering it, you will discover an amazing courtyard with a chapel, the walls and vaults of which are decorated with sky-blue azulejo panels on biblical themes.→
