On the main square of Obidos is a small white church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It stands out for its low tower and Mannerist entrance portal. Inside, the church impresses with its unusual interior design - its walls are entirely covered with blue and white azulejo tiles, and the ceiling is painted with amazing angels. The main altar of the temple is richly decorated, and on the walls you can see religious paintings and a 17th-century organ. Here, in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, there is also the tomb of Joã o de Noronha, the 16th-century city governor of Ó bidos, which is considered one of the first works of the Portuguese Renaissance style.→
