The Lisbon Cathedral or the Church of St. Mary the Most High is a temple-fortress, it is so impressive, strict and massive. It was erected in the middle of the 12th century in the Romanesque style with Gothic elements on the site where at different times there were various sacred buildings - a Roman temple and a mosque. The main facade of the temple is decorated with a large rose window and two jagged bell towers. For many centuries of its existence, the Se Cathedral was repeatedly rebuilt and restored due to devastating earthquakes, but in the 20th century it was returned to its medieval appearance.→
