Republic Square is the real heart of Braga - there are always a lot of people relaxing in cafes and near the fountain, walking in the municipal park or going on a walking tour to the historical part of the city. It is surrounded by beautiful historical buildings - the Arcade Palace (now the famous Café Vienna), the medieval Donjon tower and the Lapa church are especially impressive.
