Theatre. Art. I. Witkiewicz on Hramcowki Street since its opening in 1985 has become a meeting place for people who really want to communicate with art. The theater is named after the famous Polish writer, classic of Polish literature, brilliant essayist and theater reformer, creator of the concept of "pure form", one of the most profound and mysterious artists of the 20th century, Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, who worked under the pseudonym Witkacy.

The theatre's repertoire, proclaiming the cult of "pure form", independent of content, has not accidentally become the focus of the local intelligentsia, as well as all aesthetes who are not indifferent to the avant-garde direction in theatrical creativity, who want to feel the unique creative atmosphere. This theater is the first professional theater in Zakopane with a repertoire and a real stage.
