The Temple of Our Lady of Fatima is located 4 km from the center of Zakopane. It offers a delightful view of the Giewont Mountain and the Tatras. The temple was built in 1992 in gratitude for the saved life of the Holy Father (Pope) John Paul II on May 13, 1981. He believed that it was the Mother of God of Fatima who saved his life during the assassination attempt.
The Fatima church is named after the apparition of Our Lady, which happened on May 13, 1917 in the small town of Fatima in Portugal.
Tourists like to walk and take pictures in the vast territory of the park near the temple, admire park sculptures.
