At the crossroads of Marshal Pilsudski and Shvidnitska streets, seven bronze men go underground. And on the other side, they reappear. This is a stunning installation by Jerzy Kalina, which is unofficially called the "Monument to the Victims of Martial Law". And yes, it gives you goosebumps. The first group symbolizes the events of 1981, when about 5.000 people from among the active members of Solidarity were arrested in Poland overnight. Over the next few months, there were already 4.000 of them.→
