The unique art collection of the "National Museum of Warsaw" is one of the most extensive in Poland. The opening of the "Museum of Fine Arts", as it was previously called, took place in 1862. The exposition contains the works of Polish and world-famous masters of painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative arts from antiquity to the present day. In addition, the museum is famous for its library funds, numismatic collection, collection of icons and photographs. A particularly valuable part of the collections of the "National Museum" - the work of famous Polish artists, returned to the museum after the Second World War.
