The opening of Teatr Wielki or the "Big Theater" in Warsaw took place in 1833 with the famous opera by G. Rossini - "The Barber of Sivilia". Teatr Wielki is an extensive theater complex, which includes the "National Opera House of Warsaw". There are several concert and ballet halls, as well as the only "Museum of theatrical art" in Poland.
The Bolshoi Theater was significantly damaged by bombing during the Second World War. Its restoration began in the post-war period practically from scratch. Teatr Wielki received its second birth on November 19, 1965.
