In the Museum "Collections. John Paul II” presents works from the private collection of the spouses Janina and Zbigniew Carroll-Porczynski, donated to the city. Since 1989, the museum-collection has been housed in a historical building of the 19th century, specially allocated by the city authorities. The exposition of the museum consists of more than 450 world-famous works of Western European art of the 15th-20th centuries. The couple-collectors dedicated their collection to Pope John Paul II, after whom the museum was named.
