The main attraction of Lazienki Park is the famous "Palace on the Water", which is the pearl of this palace and park ensemble. The building of the palace, made in the best traditions of Polish neoclassicism, is comfortably located on an island in the middle of the lake. The palace was built by order of King Stanisław August Poniatowski. At one time, its premises were occupied by the king's private baths.
