The "State Ethnographic Museum", built in the middle of the 19th century under the direction of an Italian architect, is one of the most beautiful buildings in Warsaw. The museum's collection contains more than 30,000 exhibits, divided according to three ethnic groups: Polish, Slavic and peoples of the world. The exposition of the museum impresses with its impressive collection of Polish folklore, national costumes, a variety of art and handicraft works of folk art. In addition to the main exhibition, the museum often hosts temporary exhibitions, scientific research conferences, a film studio, and a publishing house that publishes a scientific ethnographic journal.
