The oldest street in the city. Initially, the settlement was called Okul, and in 1401 it was annexed to Krakow. The name of the street comes from the canons of the Wawel Cathedral, whose houses make up a significant part of the street. Most of the houses were built in the 14th-16th centuries. It is clear that they were later reconstructed, but the old portals are usually preserved. Many portals have ancient mottos in Latin - this feature is characteristic of Canon Street. Among the outstanding buildings are the house of Jan Dlugosz, the palace of Bishop Erasmus Tsiolek, and the Dzekanka (residence of the deans of the Cracow Chapter).→
