Until 1915, Podguž e was a separate city (the free royal city of Podguž e). It is clear that the government was its own, which since 1854 was housed in this building. On its facade is preserved the coat of arms of Podguze and the inscription "magistrate". By the way, the first town hall of Podguze is nearby, on the same square. This is the house "Under the White Eagle". On the wall of the new town hall there is a memorial plaque in memory of compatriots who died in World War I and in the battles for Polish independence and a sign on the site of the main gate to the Jewish ghetto, which was here during World War II.→
