Planty is a park ring surrounding the Old Town. It arose on the site of the city walls, demolished by the Austrian authorities in 1810-1814. The total area of ​​the park ring is almost 20 hectares. The park is decorated with many monuments, among which are the monuments to its founders Florian Strashevsky and Felix Radvansky, Queen Jadwiga and King Vladislav Jagiello. Planty is a favorite vacation spot for citizens.

Ring of parks
In the Plants you will see fountains and monuments to both historical figures and literary figures, and personal benches, from which you can use your smartphone to get information about a prominent person to whom the shop is dedicated. Cozy alleys, coolness, many exotic plants. All this ring covers the Old Town - two steps to attractions, cafes, museums, restaurants. The boundaries of the former fortress and the location of its towers are shown by brickwork and memorial plaques.→

Pleasant and measured walk around the Old Town
Planty is a park ring that surrounds the old city and arose on the site of the city walls. The walls themselves were demolished in the 19th century by order of the Austrian authorities, who feared Polish uprisings. The formal reason for the demolition was the poor technical condition of the walls. Walking along the Planty, you can not only see the buildings of old Krakow from a completely new angle, but also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park area of ​ ​ the city. You can walk the entire Plant ring (total length is about 4 km), you can only go halfway - from the Barbican to Wawel, and return along the Royal Road, thus combining two excursions at once.→
