Monument to the dog Jock

The Dog Jock Monument is a monument in Krakow, located on Chervensky Boulevard between Wawel and the Grunwald Bridge. The owner of Jock died of a heart attack, and the dog continued to wait for him for a year, fed by the locals. Then the dog was adopted by an elderly woman, with whom he lived for 7 years, and after her death, the dog ran away from home and died under the wheels of a train.

The monument was erected on May 26, 2001 with the assistance of the Krakow Society for the Protection and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The author of the monument is the Polish sculptor Bronisław Chromy.

A monument to dog loyalty
A small monument located near the Vistula and the Grunwald Bridge. Locals remember this story of a dog that has been waiting for its deceased owner in this place for a year, and tourists need to be explained why Krakow residents respect this ordinary outbred animal so much. The author of the monument is a Polish sculptor Bronislaw Lame.→

Monument of fidelity named Jock
The monument-sculptor Bronislawa Chromego is dedicated to a dog named Jock, who waited for a whole year on the Grunwald Ring for his suddenly deceased owner. Public service workers tried to attach him to a shelter for homeless animals, but Jock was not given to them. A year later, the dog himself chose a new mistress for himself - an old geography teacher. When she died, Jock, running away from home, died under the wheels of a train. Such is the dramatic story. How to find? Embankment behind Wawel, in the direction of the Grunwald bridge.→
