Monument to the scientist and theologian Peter Skarza, who lived in the late 16th - early 17th centuries. is located opposite the church of St. Peter and St. Paul and next to the building of the administrative building of the Pontifical University of John Paul II. Peter Skarga was the rector of the Vilnius Academy and University, and was a prominent figure in the Catholic Church, a Jesuit, and the inspirer of the Brest Union of 1596.
