Founded in 1394 by the Bishop of Cracow Peter the Great. From 1583 to 1773 the church was run by the Jesuits. Peter Skarga preached here. At the western entrance is a carved Gothic helicopter of the XV century. Inside the church are paintings by Tomaso Dolabelli, representing scenes from the life of St. Francis Xavier, St. Francis Borgia and the suffering of St. Catherine. Priest Jakub Wuek, a Bible translator who died in 1597, is buried under the church.→
