The cornerstone of the building was laid on October 12.1844. The grand opening of the station and the launch of the railway from Krakow to Myslowice took place on October 13.1847. The building was built in the Neo-Renaissance style by Wroclaw architect Peter Rosenbaum. This style is typical of the Prussian Railway. The western facade had three components, the middle of which was wider and higher. The northern and southern facades had central parts, decorated with tall windows and columns with arches.→
