The house is located at the foot of the Wawel Hill and is the last on Canon Street. It was built in the 14th century as a royal bath, but from the 15th century it became the residence of the canons of the Cathedral, one of whom was Jan Dlugosz, who left his name to the house. He is famous as the author of "History of Poland" in 12 volumes. Jan Dlugosz has lived in the house since 1450, worked on his works and died here in 1480. Until the XIX century the house was inhabited by canons, but from the XIX century the tradition was interrupted and the house began to rent.→
