The Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts is a higher educational institution in Krakó w, founded in 1818. Formerly known as the School of Drawing and Painting and the School of Fine Arts. Ukrainian artists Mykhailo Boychuk, Mykhailo Zhuk, Mykola Kasperovych, Ivan Trush, and the Polish sculptor Tomasz Dykas studied at the Krakow School of Fine Arts. Since 1956, the academy has been named after its first director, the Polish artist Jan Matejko.→
