The national park covers a mountain range about 20 km wide, along the edges of which many glaciers slide, forming picturesque natural corners. The nearest town is Sogndal (4-5 hours from Bergen) on the banks of the Sognefjord, from which you can go to several "entry points" of the park - I was on the Nigardsbreen glacier in the eastern part, the edge of which is only 1.5 km from the car park and where even a visitor center with a small exposition of national parks and glaciers in general. The glacier forms a lake with an amazing color of bright blue water; many waterfalls flow from the mountain, in addition, the stone mountain itself after the rain becomes wet and seems to be shiny.→
