The fjords are the hallmark of Norway. While walking through the fjords, you understand how majestic nature is and how well done the Norwegians are, who managed to preserve this harsh beauty. The Sognefjord walk was 2 hours from Gudvagen to Flå m. We were lucky, there was no fog or rain. Despite the middle of July, it was very cool on the open deck, an icy wind was blowing. Rocks, mirror water, seagulls flying nearby. A constantly changing landscape, either a waterfall, or a village on the shore of a fjord, or a lonely house on top of a cliff (how was it built there? ).

Aurlandsfjord is an offshoot of the Sognefjord, the second largest fjord in the world. Was on an excursion from Fl? m to Gudvangen, by ferry. The impressions of the ferry - a lot of Chinese tourists - chewing, taking pictures, popping cookies to seagulls. The impressions from the fjords are stunning. The fjords are amazing, they shift something in your head forever - immovable and majestic, they condescendingly look at the bustling tourists. These giants were here many centuries before and will remain for many centuries after us.

What are fjords? These are bays that cut into the land for many kilometers, surrounded by impregnable mountains. Sognefjord is one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world, its length is 204 km, the width in some places reaches 6 km, and the depth reaches 1308 meters. What to do while traveling by boat? - stock up on bread and feed cheeky seagulls that take bread just from your hands - admire, admire and simply admire the pristine beauty of Norwegian nature - envy yourself for the fact that you see all this : ) I swam as part of a group bus tour, so I can’t tell you anything on technical issues.

Sognefjord, as the largest and widest fjord in Norway, somewhat loses, as for me, to more "local" fjords in terms of entertainment - when you swim, the coast is quite far away. But on the other hand, the whole scale of the mountains is felt. In principle, a fjord cruise is a good idea in itself, especially if you go into the sleeves, such as Næ rø yfjord.
