Everyone knows the symbol of Holland - windmills. Being in the Netherlands and not seeing them is almost impossible. However, if you want to see them closer, see how they work, go inside and see how ancient mechanisms, without any electronics, do the same work that they did a few hundred years ago, then you need to go to the Zaanse Schans . The Zaanse Schans is an open-air museum. Samples of Dutch windmills, characteristic buildings are collected here, as well as the main crafts - a functioning cheese factory, the manufacture of klomps - traditional Dutch wooden shoes and, in my opinion, the most interesting, working mills.→
