The Delft Market Square is located in the heart of the city and is one of the largest urban historical squares in Europe. The area has an almost rectangular shape with dimensions of 120 meters by 50 meters. In the Middle Ages, annual religious processions were held here, public executions took place, and on Thursdays a large market was held. The Market Square is also interesting for two attractions: the New Church with a 109-meter bell tower and the building of the Town Hall in the Renaissance style.

Fair on the square

I managed to visit only in transit, and the fair remained a vivid impression. There was just a sea of all sorts of goodies, non-traditional for our cuisine.→

Delft, Market Square

Points of interest, in fact, like the interests themselves, can be completely different. In Holland, there are a dime a dozen of such points for all interests. Who is looking for a delicious herring, who are girls in the red light districts, who admires the works of art of the great masters in many museums ...As Cicero used to say - "To each his own. " All this I lead to Delft. On the one hand, he was not very lucky with museums, there are, as it were, quite a few of them, but there are no world-famous ones.→
