The Tushinsky Theater is a former theater, now a cinema, one of the architectural sights of the city. The building, built in 1921, is an eclectic mixture of different styles (Amsterdam School, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau and Art Deco) and was advanced for its time not only in its architecture, but also in its power supply, heating and ventilation system, which allowed even maintain the temperature throughout the building.
In 1998-2002, a major restoration of the theater was carried out with the restoration of its original style. At the same time, it was expanded, a wing with 3 new halls and a more modern facade was added to it, connected with the old building through a corridor.
