Rembrandt Square

Rembrandtplein, Rembrandt Square
Netherlands, Amsterdam
Rembrandt Square is one of the central squares in Amsterdam. In the center of the square is a monument to Rembrandt.

After World War II, this square turned into a center of nightlife. There are many cafes, shops and hotels here. In addition, one of the largest LCD screens in Europe (7.6*15 m) is installed on the square. In 2009, a large reconstruction of the square was carried out: it was freed from excessive green spaces, and the Rembrandt monument was moved to the center of the square.

A small cozy square with an interesting sculpture. But the whole relish is that in the evenings they sell a lot of delicious freshly prepared food. And on Sundays there is an art market, but, unfortunately, we did not get there. By the way, the sculptures are also better to watch in the evening, so much more impressive.
