Constitution Square is the central square of Mexico City and the largest in Latin America (46,800 square meters). It was founded in the first half of the 16th century by the Spaniards on the basis of the Aztec buildings. Now the main city buildings are located on Constitution Square - the National Palace (the presidential administration is located here), the cathedral (the oldest Christian building in America), the old city hall building, as well as the ruins of the main Aztec temple.
