Located in the former air force base at Ta' Ali, near Valletta, the Malta Aviation Museum displays a variety of historically significant exhibits.
The pride of the museum are the restored Spitfire Mk IX and Hawker Hurricane Ila fighters. The museum also features De Havilland Tigermoth, Douglas DC3, Beechcraft 18, De Havilland Vampire T11, Hawker Seahawk, Fiat G91R, Pou Du Ciel, Cessna Birddog, Fairey Swordfish and the head of the English Electric Lightning aircraft.
The museum also has an impressive collection of aircraft engines, models, flight uniforms, airfield equipment. In addition, here you can watch how the restoration of an ownerless old aircraft is progressing, which is restored to its original state by professionals - museum workers.
