Inland Sea Gozo

The Inland Sea is a seawater lagoon on the island of Gozo, connected to the Mediterranean Sea through a strait in the form of a narrow natural arch.
On one side of the lagoon is a quiet, gently sloping rocky beach with a few fishermen's huts. On calm days, fishing boats can pass through the tunnel. Some of the boats are used to sail through the passage under the arch and then make a trip to nearby cliffs and other places, mainly Mushroom Rock and other large natural cliff arches called the Azure Window.
